Sounds beautiful and fun, but what is it? More translations. These are all translation and localisation tools based on AI, and more or less efficient when translating large projects into multiple languages.
My translation journey took a new turn when introduced to translation tools. The first one up was OneSky. I honestly don’t remember much about it, because soon after we were told to move on to Phrase. Both had their advantages, but it wasn’t until I started using SmartCat that I saw a real purpose for such a tool.
SmartCat wasn’t ideal in the beginning, but the company did however listen to the users. I found the new windows constantly opening annoying. Not soon after they changed that feature and in the end I quite liked working in SmartCat.
The tool made it easy to reuse translations already done, especially handy in large project, and the comment section was most helpful. The hardest thing to translate, in my opinion, are short commands. Without proper context, you don’t have anything to work with.
